Replace Stock Speakers?
Replace Stock Speakers?
I just installed a nice a JVC digital media receiver and can already hear better quality sound - it's 20 x 4 RMS. I'm wondering if I should invest a little more and pickup some 3way Kenwood speakers? I see that the car (05 LX Sedan) can fit a 6.5 in the front and 5.25 in the rear.
If I shelled out the $40 per pair, would I hear a difference?

Re: Replace Stock Speakers?
If you can live with mediocre sound quality, those will do you fine. But make sure your head unit can power your speakers sufficiently.
But honestly, our stock speakers aren't that bad.

Re: Replace Stock Speakers?
I would expect you would hear a difference. At $40 per pair they are not high end speakers but almost anything is better than factory speakers. A lot of times the rear speakers are damaged from being in the sun, if this is the case the difference is even greater.
The one thing factory speakers usually have going for them is they are efficient so they can produce a fair amount of volume from low power.
