mounting components

where is the place that people usually attach the crossovers to? assuming that i want it out of sight.

Well, I put mine in the trunk and worked it into my scheme.... But a lot of people put them under the driver seat; use 3M double sided foam tape to put them on the inside of the cover under the steering wheel (the panel that covers the fuse box); I've even heard of people using that same foam tape and mounting them on the insde of the door panel iteself!

Pretty much anywhere in the car.

if i mount my components on my doors and sail panels, i would have to run quite a bit of wire back and forth to the trunk. as for hiding it under the seat, i think it is quite hard to run the wire from the doors there and still have the wires out of site. i would prefer to mount them inside the door panels if possible and safe.

I have mine mounted inside the door panels. most people do.. almost all shops do that..saves on wiring and space..

yeah me too there is a big cut out in the doors i think where the sida airbags would go or something and these plenty of room. then just snake one wire in to the door from your amp and your set

i thought the side airbags are in the seats?? anyways, i guess i can just tape the crossovers inside the panels right?? or is it better to use screws??

is velcro strong enuf?? how heavy is the crossover? i once tried to use velcro to mount my receiver's remote and it kept falling off.

Velco's enough.. most componentscome with 4 strips of adhesive backed velcro allready..
