Re: New Battery Suggestions

I have a Duralast Gold Top since last march or so. Works great I run about 661rms right now. I do have a little light dimming but that if I were you I would upgrade to the next size up battery from stock size. It will fit in the battery area but you gotta take out the bin the battery belongs in.

Re: New Battery Suggestions

honda 500cca group51 is the best stock size battery, made by interstate i think and its only $100. best compromise of weight and performance. bigger batteries are much heavier.

Re: New Battery Suggestions

I HATE walmart, but their Everstart MAXX batteries are top-notch for price/performance. They're made by Johnson Controls, so they're high quality.

Re: New Battery Suggestions

I've been using the Optima Yellow Top 51 for the past 6 years. Red Top would be more for your audio application. You can find them online for $130 to $140 a pop.

Re: New Battery Suggestions

i don't know what else to tell you there are three companies that make basically all US car batteries Delphi, Exide, and Johnson Controls Industries. Delphi makes ACDelco and some EverStart (Wal-Mart) models. Exide makes Champion, Exide, Napa, and some EverStart batteries. Johnson Controls makes Diehard (Sears), Duralast (AutoZone), Interstate, Kirkland (Costco), Motorcraft (Ford), Optima and some EverStarts. so basically like what i told you in my fist post is Duralast is the best one for the money . now if you were running a second battery just for your system i would recommend Kinetic,Shuriken,Stinger,SVR.

Re: New Battery Suggestions

the model number is ''34DT-DLG'' you can see its a tight fit but a perfect fit all you need to modify is the metal battery tray unbolt the tray then hammer the edges flat so it won't cut into the battery over time your also going to either have to buy or make a new battery tie down for obvious reasons the one in the picture i made from a piece of aluminium that i cut then bent into shape and drilled some holes into.
