Another wiring kit for a second amp?

My first amp draws 75 amps, running off of 4 gauge wire and a 60 amp fuse (no problems yet). I want to add another amp, an MTX 4250D or a MTX 6500D, should I get a new fuse holder with a 150 amp fuse, a distribution block, and more wire, or should I just by another 60 amp 4 gauge wiring kit?

Nope....4 guage is enough..and that 60 amp fuse will msot likely due... just get a distro block and your set.

If you blow the main fuse (60amp) then upgrade to an ANL fuse holder and 150amp fuse.

Cheers

I agree w/ Mohawk, I just installed a 2nd amp to power my subs, running the distro block is your best bet, 8 awg wire coming out of the block and th 4 awg going in. The 60 amp fuse seems adequate, mine has not blown.

does it rain alot where you live?..or snow..if so d not get a breaker..they become pretty unreliable if they get often and in some cases will cause a short themselves..it's pretty much dry and never snows it;s a good investment...the guys probably trying to sell you what makes him more money!!!.. car audioshops are in it to make $$$ they only try making you happy so you come back and spend more and they make more.. it is a business afterall
