Brought the car into Honda to get the ball joint boot(s?) replaced. They had torn. Mentioned the radio, which also just stopped working completely in the past few weeks. Changed the fuse on the battery. Still the radio didn't work. Honda said they tested to see if power was going to the radio. It was....So, they said, the radio is dead.

I noticed yesterday that the car is no longer beeping to warn me that the lights are left on when I exit the vehicle, or that my keys are still in the ignition. This is new. May have started at the same time the radio went. May be the battery? or a different fuse?

Not sure if its 10,9,or8 its the one that says "backup" but yours might just be the radio since dealer sayed they checked them.

Nice cant believe how dumb the dealership is thats why dealership for me is ultra last resort. Code can be given to you by dealership thru phone and there is a site that gives it to you as well.

i used the site, but I am getting a 4 digit code, and it has the #7 in it. doesn't seem right...

yea I think its a 5 digit code and there is only 1-6 if i remember so just go to the dealership they will give you the number.

What's a back up fuse? sorry I'm an electrical moron. My radio did the same thing - just dead, no power to it. I checked the fuses under the dash and under the hood but I didn't check ALL of them, are there others also?

My 04 civic radio code is displayed on the upper left part of my glove compartment after I open it. Check there

Best thing to do is see if you can get another OEM radio for cheap and plug it in.

Why would he do that, he will still need the radio codes which he can get for free instead of buying another and being in the same position.
