Re: Transmission temp gauge install

I need a location to put the sending unit. Wasn't sure if there was a bolt that I could use, or if I should use a fill plug location. I have done some research but I can't find anything, maybe I'm just a moron. But thanks for the help.

Re: Transmission temp gauge install

well usually the sender will not fit the drain plug hole. most people install it in one of the cooler lines going to the radiator. one is the hot side and one is cold side. i recommend the hot side because thats the fluid fresh out of the trans.

Re: Transmission temp gauge install

Its sitting around and I would rather just install it. Was going to put it on ebay, but the last ones I've seen on there didn't sell for much so I figured I would give a try. If I can't I'll put it back on the shelf.

Re: Transmission temp gauge install

the hassle probably isn't worth what the gauge is worth IMO

Re: Transmission temp gauge install

yeah, you dont need one for manuals, temp is pretty critical for autos, not manuals. sell it on ebay.
