Supertalent thin USB 8gb for 16 bucks
Although its not a small end, its still tiny
EDIT: Cool, it's water resistant too, I think i might get one just for the hell off it

Re: new deck, should i keep it?
i settled for the 4GB buffalo version for now since they had it in stock. i dont need that much space anyway and can always change the music if i get tired of whats on there.
Re: new deck, should i keep it?
. The sound is better from it too, replaced an older sony head unit. Re: new deck, should i keep it?

It is 179.99 i believe i dunno if thats too much but i love it. Great sound, anything apple fits inside the unit and it takes USB,ipod, Aux in. Also has 2 preamp outs and such. Much better than my old one I'd recommend it. Here is a link.

O and one more thing it has built in High pass and low pass filters for the preouts so you can choose what to send to the amps
pretty sweeet lol Last edited by kyle_l88; Jan 10, 2011 at 02:37 PM.

Re: new deck, should i keep it?
Dam, $80 is definitely a steal for that deck, I bought my old CDX model for $80 too....and now it's outdated
I'd get the S200 instead of the S100 though...only because the 200 has an extra front loading usb

Re: new deck, should i keep it?
Kudos to sony HU's. It seems like my HU (pioneer) does everything, has everything BUT USB input. Ive read that some USB port will only play music, and not charge the device thats plugged in, which is B.S.

Re: new deck, should i keep it?
well guys i couldnt do it. tried to wait a few weeks and get used to the sony, but the sound quality was making me sick even after hours of adjusting the eq. the sound is just flat and there is zero bass even with the eq and loudness maxed out. as much as i loved everything about the sony, the one thing i couldnt get past was the sound. what good are all the features if the sound quality sucks? i swapped back the alpine tonight and turned the bass to only (+2) and treble to (-2). Thats all it needs are two simple bass and treble adjustments. Turned the volume up to 6 and already i could hear rattles from the rear deck. turned volume to 10, and it sounded like i installed a new sub
there is just no comparison to alpine sound and the bass is ungodly even at low volumes. the whole interior was pounding again.

Re: new deck, should i keep it?
My deck has got a USB port, I love it. Have a thumb drive on my keychain and now I keep a bunch of music on it, way easier than CDs and it goes with me to work everyday anyway. For long trips you can plug the ipod in and play from it at the same time, which is perfect.

Re: new deck, should i keep it?
If you dont want that deck, give it to me
I'd gladly take it
Besides, I dont push bass from my speakers, so my sound quality is not bad. All my friends can hear my music blocks away, and say "Dude, I could hear you coming" when i go to pick them up :P
Only thing that's bad about my system right now, is the sound stage....but that cant be perfect inside a car...
If i set the perfect sound stage for me (driver), the whole soundstage for passenger side would be thrown off

Re: new deck, should i keep it?
im keeping the sony for now, im sure it would work great with a sub hooked up, which i have no plans of doing. the alpine by itself really does the job more than enough for me. just wish it did more than play mp3 cds. like i said before everything about the sony was awesome other than the sound. i liked the display, looks, usb, ipod, and even the cd player didnt skip over terrible roads.

Re: new deck, should i keep it?
Get a bazooka 8" powered sub
And put it in the footwells of rear seats, trust me, subs help so much lol
Btw, pushing bass from your speakers will greatly shorten the life of your speakers over a period of time

Re: new deck, should i keep it?
meh, these infinity reference are going on 9 yrs and still pounding nicely despite being beat up and some torn pieces in the surrounds. no hurry to change them if they still sound great. many people have asked if i had a sub with just the 6.5 inch speakers
i wouldnt want any more bass.

Re: new deck, should i keep it?
Meh, a 8" Bazooka will do you good
and if the surrounding foam is coming apart on your speakers, it's probably gonna die soon if you keep bumpin them with the bass

Re: new deck, should i keep it?
Some people don't want to waste money on subs though, I don't have any and I have no plans on getting any because with decent speakers they aren't all that necessary; unless you want your friends to hear you coming from blocks away of course lol.

Re: new deck, should i keep it?
exactly, in fact i only have the bass on +2 but if i turn it to +4 i get more than i ever care to have. it was even better when i had them amped, but imo they still sound great off deck power.

Re: new deck, should i keep it?
selling the sony if anyone is interested for $95 shipped. its barely used for a week and comes with everything, including pnp presoldered harness for 01-05 civics. just plug it in and youre done, all proper soldering and heat shrink tubing. i dont listen to music much so i went back to stock deck so i dont have to worry about it getting stolen at my work.
Re: new deck, should i keep it?
I gotta say, you could have picked up an Alpine for pretty cheap. Youd be giving up some features but improving on sound quality. It does look nice though I have to admit! (Didnt reaise there was three pages to this hahaha)

Re: new deck, should i keep it?
I had a pioneer that also had a USB and would make me search through deck so after a little bit of messing around with it i found out how to get the ipod to control the music and not the radio. I would hook ur ipod up to the USB and look somwhere in the settings for "functions" idk if urs will do the same but it was alot nicer cuz i could charge my ipod and find music with it too.
