I'm not sure on what proceedure that you are following to install the H/U but be sure to do this install with the BATTERY disconnected. I've known dozens of people (including myself who tried to omitt this step and end up blowing that same fuse. Also, recheck your connections using the wiring diagram in the DIY.

Alright, I kept blowing the backup fuse too last week and I fixed it by unplugging the HU HAH! I have no HU so if you find a solution, pleeaaaase post it cuz I'm about to make an appointment @ Honda for them to fix it. I've got no idea what happened.... I'm not grounding anything, I think I may have blown out my HU

Did you disconnect the battery before removing your HU .. I cannot stress this step enough. it is of Xtreme importance to prevent injury, electrical damage, Frying things, and feeling dumb.

Cheers

well I think what may have fried it was a power inverter that I had bought. It was causing my amps to send a LOUD *** noise to the speakers. Needless to say as soon as I turned it off, everything was fine BUT my BACKUP fuse and as soon (Up to this step I hadn't even taken my dash apart, so my stock HU had been untouched). For some reason I was f*cking around trying to find out what kept blowing up the Backup fuse after that event, and as soon as I unplugged the HU the backup fuse stopped blowing up. Never seen anything like it... any ideas?
