Help

I own a 2002 civic, its has mods but none by me. the first owner by my book was a retard, everything hes touched is half assed. my problem is when i shut the car off my car all of a sudden makes beeping noises and my spedometer starts bouncing up and down very fast and my odometer starts flashing numbers, trip a/b. it will not stop till i disco the battery. it dose start and drive fine, no power loss or anything.

Not a huge expert here, but it sounds like there may be a short somewhere. Did you check the fuse box?

Is there any kind of alarm system on it? Almost sounds like a theft deterrent incorrectly hooked up.

Are all the problems associated with the cluster? I'd pull it out and see if everything goes back to normal. At the very least you can see if any wires are ****ed up back there.
