Just a thought...

Instead of needing spacers for the door speakers, couldn't I just saw out the 6'' or so of the cross beam bar inside the door? I mean we do have like 3 or 4 of them m i right? [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/IMG] That way the extra depth is utilized without so much top mount space.

I believe you would have problems rolling your windows down all the way without spacers. Why would you want to cut part of your door out instead of making some spacers out of wood or even buying some, anyways?

it can be done.. but the cost of the Carbine Dremel bit to cut away all that metal and the time wasted dictates spacers are the much wiser option.. also cut away any metal in the door and you now have issues with your Insurance company about safety..and you may short out your speakers if the magnets end up touching any metal..

Make or buy some spacers.
