Anyone heard of these? The guy at the stereo shop says they are very good, and im wondering your guys opinion

I did a search and found this.....

Surface acoustic wave (SAW) touch screens send sound waves across your screen surface to look for interruptions caused by touch. The drawback of this technology is that it is affected by contaminants on the screen, which absorb the waves and cause "dead zones."

Maybe the rep was talking about touch screen technology and not a particular brand. I've never heard of "SAW" otherwise.
