so I was curious... I've seen that a few people have bolted on their amp to their sub box. Is there anything
wrong with doing this? Will it damage the amp, make more noise, etc? I was reading the manual for an amp
I just got rid of and it specifically said NOT to do this. Thoughts on this?

Nothing wring with it at all....as long as it the box won't slide around.. it's all good..
answers, no, no, and no. I have two coustic amps mounted vertically on the back of my box, no problems at all for 7 months now.
cool, thanks guys. If I do decide to do that... I'll be happy knowing that it's fine. Still haven't figured out
where I want to place my amps in the trunk... there's not too many convenient spots in there without losing
usable space.

yea its fine.. i mounted on the top of my box, no problem wat so ever.. its really easy to work with since the speaker wires from the subs are nice n short
ok, i kinda agree with everyone here. nothing wrong or bad with putting amps on the sub-box. i did that with the first system i bought...must have been like 7 years ago now, and nothing bad happened. never did it again tho. not as 'clean' looking. i have a suggestion. do you use your pass-thru behind the back seat? if not, you could simply mount a board to the trunk-side of this opening with your amps facing the cab. you will prob have to give yourself a little depth to make sure the amps dont hit the back of the seats. i did not want to close this pass-thru off with mdf or another wood board due to the fact that it might limit air circulation, so i mounted black plasting "chicken-wire" mesh to the opening with strong zip-ties (nice and taut) and mounted the amps to this also using zip ties. NO DRILLING! and i like CLEAN, and it is clean. looks snazzy and my amps are not on the box. i wish i had a digicam so i could show it off, but i could borrow one. any questions my emails perfikt@bellsouth.net later
