sony xplod products sound really good when used together. why? cuz sony does weird crap that makes their stuff work better with their own gadgets.. lol
anyhoo.. i have everything xplod except my fronts.. only cuz i have yet to get any money to purchase them or another amp.
sound quality is good, NOT great. it sounds better than alot of my friends cars, but that is prolly due to the tuning. i took alot of time making it sound right.
anyhoo.. if you are looking to get like super high sound quality, don't go with sony xplod. but if you ar elike me and can handle not having the BEST, but having a perfectly matched system, go for it.

Sony Xplod speakers and amps are allright..Xplod HU's are junk..very high THD ratings.. very poor RCA outputs..the Sony ES line (if you insist on sony) is the way to go for HU's..
I dont know what guys be talking about but my sony cdxm610 with Active Black Panel sounds great. You guys must be talking about those crappy looking red and black head units with the dumb little turn ****. Those are weak but the the xplod-es series is the sh*t
this is the jump off right here.
Sony CDX-M610
excellent features including sub volume and low and high pass filters and it sounds great with some kenwood front and rear speakers.
The most bang for the buck!!!

sony decks are great if you dont mind them skiping all the time.
sony subs are great if you dont mind a huge box, no low end, zero SPL, and ***-bass
sony amps are overrated, but if you can get them cheap, whatever....power is power. (a sony 150x2 amp would be good for a sound stage. but 300 watts is bs to the core)
sony coaxials are great if you like muddy tweets that have no definition, zero midbass and overpowering midrange that leaves frequency sinkholes taht leaves you guessing to what is actually playing.
i dunno, this is all i got experince with.
