You probably have a VP/LX as they don't come with Tachs, if I remember correctly. To change it, it takes some patience and effort but unless you NEED a tach, I would recommend you stick with your current cluster.

you can use any civic 01-02 LX or EX cluster that has a tach. just plug and play. look at ebay for cheap ones but you should try to find a piece that has close to the same mileage as your car. also the coupe and sedan has different backlight color at night so be sure to get the correct style. you can post here if you need help figuring out which its for.

Gearbox, I am also looking to do the same thing. I have all the technicle manuels for the 05 civic but little tools to work with. I did find a 4dr unit that is an EX 2001 but I have a 2rd civic. What else do I need to make this a smooth operation Ie what it would better if i had (blank) what tools do i need? what is a good price for gauge cluster? Do I need a new ecu to make it all work?
