Anything you'd recommend

Alright im new to the forums and hondas really, and i was wondering what speaker system people would recommend? i have the bog standard factory fitted speakers (x4) and head unit. Im looking for a different headunit preferebly something with a dvd/screen and maybe a small sub, that will fit nice.

My car is a 7th gen 2004 honda civic sport 3dr hatchback.

Re: Anything you'd recommend

hey well first off welcome to the forum..i just ordered some infinity kappa's i did some research on here and lots of people think there the best speakers out there..so 6x9's and 6.5" infinity's would sound mean..

for the headunit pretty much any aftermarket deck will work as long as it has the outs for subwoofers,

Aftermarket decks do not fit flush. The oem radio has a weird shape. You need to buy an adapter kit. I also have infinity kappa speakers (front only). Rears are stock speakers. My sub over powers the rear speakers any way.

As for decks. Go for whatever you want. Its sort of a broad question to ask, since there are so many decks on the market. I have the top of the line top pioneer deck, and I would recommend that to you. However, I don't know if you need that, or want to spend that much. I personally don't like dvd decks. Yeah they're cool to look at, but SQ isn't on par with a decent deck. Plus you can't look at the screen while driving. It really depends on what your are looking for. Narrow down your choices.

If you must insist on getting a dvd deck, I would say a popular choice would be the pioneer avic-d3.
