I have a 98 civic sedan. I'm probably gonna put 2 15's in the trunk. I'm looking at a 3200 watt Visonik 2 channel competition amp. What kind of battery/alternator upgrades would be required?
What's the least expensive way, to get the extra power I need? Just 1 Cap?

Alright. Well, I guess I better go with a 1000 watt amp bridged or something. Because I will not need any battery, alt, upgrades with something like that right?

Technically you dont need any upgrades for the 3200watt amp versus the 1000 watt amp. its just highly reccommended for either. and a 1000wat amp bridged into 2Ohms will probably put close to the same load on the electircal system as a 3200 watt at 4Ohms. not the same, but fairly close. also, are these max ratings? or rms ratings? if the 1000 is a maxx, its only 500rms, which is easily manageable. but all in all, theres many variables on the stock electrics. ie:
how the sub is wired (parrallel/series)
if the amp is bridged
how many Ohms its stable to
and what its rated at for rms power

Well, now I'm on the search for amps that will run 2 ohms stable. So any recommendations is appreciated?
I'm checking into a Memphis multi-class 500w that will run 2 ohms stable. But, i'm not sure if that will be enough power for me.

i can gaurentee that 500 watt is plenty, what are you going for spl competitions?, i dont wanna burst your bubble, but if you intend going over 500 watt, you really should get into some upgrades with electrical, its too much strain on the cars electrical. then with the upgrades you will have to drop a few bills to really allow your amp to function at peak performance. Im running at about 500 myself, and i deff notice dimming when i really crank her.
and 2 15's? are you sure you going to be able to get those in the trunk? your going to have to have 1 hell of a special designed box to get it in there

It's a civic sedan. I should be able to put 2 15's in it. If not I'll do two 12's.
I get a capacitor, to help with the battery power.
Will that 500w at 2ohms stable push 2 15's well?

If I get something like this http://www.audiosavings.com/product_...d-9b616e3a383d
It should take car of car battery problems, right?
And this one is suppose to be able to power up to a 6000 watt competiton system.

I don't know if that's true or not, but it should work. Are caps hard to install? Do i need any extra wires/kits to install one?

lol. short answer, they do nothing except cover up the problem. and dont forget, the cap is gonna be another drain on the system because it has to keep itself charged by using battery power. now if you want to fix the problem, get a better alternator. But even that is open to debate now so idk.
