I have a Pioneer deh-p7300 HU and this weekend I will be installing my new AutoTek 400.4 amp and 5.25 Infinity Kappa Components.

My question is this:
What settings to I use on the HU regarding the comps.? Same on the amp. Do i set the built in crossover to Flat?

My plan is to power the comps from two of the four channels and then bridge the remaining two to power a single 12" sub.

My HU (for those of you who have the same one, you will understand what I mean) has a sub output, which I will link to the amps 3 and 4 channel RCAs. The HU has a gain control (i guess this is what it would be called) and a frequency (80mhz, 120mhz, and 40 i think) control for that sub output. What should this be set too? Currently its set to 80.... but I really have no idea what I'm doing [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/IMG]

That's a good question, iw as wondering that myself. My sony Hu has the LPF for 80 and 120 HZ or none. I could do none and just use the LPF on the Amp itself, but i do'nt know what frequency to crossover at. i Imagine it would have to depend on the sub, i have a really small 8" JL 8W3 and i assume that it can handle higher frequencies better than larger subs. i Was wondering what frequency would be a good place to cross over. Thanks. Sorry for butting in in yoru thread!!

on your deck set everything flat. then set the crossovers for the amps. then you can tweek with your hu.

Leave the HU crossovers to flat.. Edna.. Set your lowpass at about 90Hz for yor sub,,,Civicrider.. set it about 80Hz.. leave all HU settings to flat..
