Question-Hardwiring LED's & Neon
question.... i have a neon running from the sub box in the back of the car and it was a plug into the cigarette adaptor ones... i cut the cigarette adaptor off in order to hardwire it....but i dont know how to.
i can bring the wires up to the dash easy, but i dont know what to hook each wire to? can someone provide an easy detailed explanation, when it comes to electricity im a complete noob. diagrams confuse the **** out of me. i just want the neon to be on when the car is turned on.
my car is a 2003 honda civic EX

Re: Question-Hardwiring LED's & Neon
what you want to do, is take off ur center console and use "t-taps" and splice (tap) into teh cig wires. just make sure u get the postive and negitive right.
black is negitive...the other wire (usually red or yellow) is postive
btw, you can buy Ttaps anywhere...autozone, homedepot, lows...etc

Re: Question-Hardwiring LED's & Neon
So put it back on and use a female cigarette lighter socket adaptor.
