fuse for 5w bulb?

i just realized i never fused my hood light, would a 5 amp be fine? and can i use a mini one?

so if you know your headlight's wattage. There you go...

yeah i guess watts = VxA only if the wire is big enough not to have substantial resistance

not even a matter of resistance. you fuse a system so that the current doesn't exceed the rated capacity of the wire. that determines the max fuse. you can always go smaller to protect the components, but the max is determined by the wires used.

yeah. usually 20awg is big enough for like ... 3 or 4 amps on 12V
