amp wirring on civic 2003
hello
I am in the process to install an amp in my car, the problem i am having is finding a place inside the car to put through the cable to connect to the battery.
Is there a hole somewhere in the car that i can use to put through the cable and come out on the other end, to be able to connect it to the battery.
Also at the back seats, is there a good location where, i can put through the other end of the cable to get to the boot.
Thank you in advanced.
The car i have is honda civic 2003 si, here is a pic of it.

Re: amp wirring on civic 2003
there should be a rubber grommet somewere it would be easier to look under the bonnet to find it i have a 2001 civic mine was behind the steering wheel. in mine i wired the cable under the centre console, under the carpet then under the back seats into the boot.

Thanks for the reply,
i didnt see anything under the bonet, all i saw was this small plastic place but its too small for cable to go through, any other situations, of where i can find a place to put the cable through??

theres one near the brake pedal and another on the passenger side footwell. now stock there is no hole, you gotta drill it in the place where the rubber boot comes off. and you'll see a hole outline.

if wires already come through, you can just poke a set of pliers through to make it bigger, then wire it all under the carpet and under the bacck seat. its easiest if you pull out back seats

Re: amp wirring on civic 2003
i went through the rubber grommet on the passenger side. the grommet is probably 2" in diameter or so, but the harness going through takes up less than 1" of that. so i just cut a small hole between the harness and edge and pulled my wire through. right now, i've got an 8ga and a 4 ga coming through there, so there's plenty of space. from inside the car, it's on the passenger side foot board, towards the center of the car, and behind the bottom part of the dash. kind of hard to see and reach, but it's doable. from the engine compartment, it's almost an arm's reach down. that's the best way i can describe it.

I got it done, i found the rubber, made a small hole by poking a knife through the rubber without damaging the wires around the rubber. Put my cable through, and finished installing my amp and subwoofer.
Thanks Everyone for your help.
