ok so yesterday i installed a new speaker just on the driver side. The new speaker along with my other speakers worked fine until i got off work today.

I turned on the radio and the indash works, the tv tuner works and everything works, but i get no sound from teh speakers!! none of them at all.

All i get is this like POP noise that comes from the frotn driver side and that's it. I checked the fuses under teh dash and in the engine bay, but nothing seems to be blown.

I don't think it's the indash fuse bc the radio and evrything still turns on and everythign works, but no sound

you guys think the amp. in the indash is blown?? please help!!

i got a pioneer avh-p6600dvd btw.

i would check the easiest thing...the remote wire....then check the fuses on the amp..

^^i'll check it out tomorrow. i'll pull the radio out. Wanted to prevent this...but i guess i have no choice.

any other ideas?

ummm when my amp got a little bit of water on it, it made hissing and popping noises. So i turned the entire stereo system off for about 10 mins until it stopped, then i just turned it all back on. never happened again. and there was splash burn marks splashing from the wiring on my amp under the passenger seat.

Easiest way to check if its the deck, install your stock deck back in, and see if you get any sound. If so, its not your deck.

I had this exact problem happen once after installing fronts.
If the speaker gets twisted when mounted... The terminals can short against the door metal.

Exact problem. I read some things online where the speakers can short out if grounded to the car's metal resulting in all of the speakers not playing no sound.

I took the speakers back out and remounted it and problem FIXED!!
