2 questions about stock cd player

I am going to put 2 new JL Audio 12's in my 2001 civic.

1) My brother says it will sound bad with the stock cd player. Is this true?

2) If it is. I will sell my stock one on ebay. But, I dont want to give it away for like 10 bucks, so I will set a reserve. How much should I ask for it???

Try the forums here..maybe someone wants to upgrade from a Tape deck to CD player..I'd say $75 sounds like a decent price.

Cheers

if it's just to wire up an amp for subs..no.it'll be allright.. but with a pair of 12's you'll never hear anything but bass.. and if your turn your volume up high enough..you'll hear bass and distortion...Instead of subs, invest a new HU first, and new front speakers.. then get subs.. In that case..invest in a new HU with RCA outputs..unless you like hearing alot of distortion

one thing that most people overlook is dynomats. Look into them because they will cause the bass to sound clean and not distort beacause the car shakes.

you thinking Dynamat which is a single product.. it's great..but there are much cheaper products that work as well if not better.
