defroster interfieirs with antienna
so lately ive noticed that if i listen to the radio its fine, until i put on y rear defroster. it pretty much cuts out all radio signal and is just static. it only doesnt really bother one (just so happen the closest to where i live). but all others is cuts out.

check to see if there are any breaks in the lines. the antenna is the middle one going vertical.

Mine does that as well...it only goes bad when the radio signal is not strong enough....but with crap OEM radio it does that most of the time..

Oh its been a while since I've looked at that panel. there should be a wire or two visible. Make sure they are connected, not frayed or loose or anything. Then trace the lines on the rear window to see if any of them are cracked or apart. Its like christmas lights- pull one out and the whole thing is fvcked.

yeah everything works as it should. the light, the defroster, it just seems to mess up the radio signal. the only thing that could possibly lead to this happening is me taking off my tint. but im not sure i don't remember if it did it right after i took it off or after i did. if i need a new window i think ill make some enemies and park my car in a bad part of town. lol
Re: defroster interfieirs with antienna
u dont need a new window, u need an electrical tester, all u have to do is start at the power side, follow each line across the window, the light on the tester will glow brightly at the power side, and the farther u get from the power source, the dimmer it will get, if it suddenly cuts out, u have damage to that line, and need to repair it, its available aftermarket at napa and such places, so do not just replace the whole rear window, test it first
