Power Needs

I am installing a pair of kicker kx800.2 amps to a pair of 12l7's. I was wandering what our car's power handling needs are, so I don't kill the alt. I was planning on getting a 3 farad cap & a red top battery. Do you guys have any more suggestions. PS- I have a 02 EX coupe.

I think (2) 1 farad caps would be plenty and will save you some money. no need for a big ol expensive 3 farad cap. also read that post that frostbite provided.

it's a class a/b amp so if you listen to alot of bass heavy music in stop and go driving you're in trouble.. for Highway driving and bumping heavy bass music your marginally okay.. basically ..every now and then, just turn it down and give your batt a chance to rechearge keep it down if your stuck in traffic...a single 1 Farad cap will be enough to controll dimming..

Cheers
