RULE #1 Dealers are full of crap

2 Diamonds are good.. but nowhere near the "best"
MBQ's..the same..

Best midrange perfomrance would be a toss beter Focal Audiom 6"
Rainbow References and Oz Audio Matrix.

Best tweeters on the other hand.. well there's too many with different admirable qualities that you can't pick a single 1 or 2..

But off the top of my knoggin Rainbow Pro's....Focal Audiom TLR's..

There's more but those are pro/studio equipment.

Cheers

Best sounding set for the $$$.. Rainbow Pro's
Best value with great sound. Oz Audio Matrix..

Cheers

well after getting some of those places i searched alil and oz 5 1/4 were 319 on sound domain and they had some awesome reviews of them focal were focal xpensive like 800 for a set, diamonds were around 300 and mb was around 220, could find to much about the rainbow pros.....so i would say oz would be the way to go some specs on the oz were...92db sensitivity, rms 80W, peak 160W, frequency was 60 - 20,000hz and at 4 ohms

The MBQ's you saw for $220 aren't their high end one;s so you'll suffer the MBQ midbass disspearing act.. their high end models offer great midbass though..

Your best bet then is go witht he 6.5" Oz Audio components.. (not 5.25).

Cheers

what kind of music do you listen too. some people take that into consieration when finding a set of comps

Metal and rap like metal dome tweets (tends to be a little brighter)
while the rest of the world like silk (tends to be alot smoother but loose some upper level freq)

but its just personal tastes.

Hey Mohawk! What should I be getting for components? I want to drive em with my Phoenix Gold amp (125x2 at 4 ohms). I was thinking about Infinity Perfects, only because they're convenient (futureshop). which would cost 499. if they still have em. then just turn the gain down on the amp. But what else should I be considering? BTW, I'm finally gonna go get me an IDMAX. Now i just need to find a way to get em.
