Rep Power: 236 i had the same problem and i just used a dremel to cut out the excess metal using the template. Then i just painted over the cut edges just in case. The thing was that the speaker barely hit the window as it rolled down.
In your case, i would recommend fabricating or buying a bracket.
Try this one:

Im not sure if they are correct one, can someone verify this?

Rep Power: 236 depending on how deep your speaker goes, if anything you might need to go larger, but not too big or else you wont get the panel back on.. 1 inch sounds reasonable, just measure

Rep Power: 296 yeah it will clear the door, but rice is right, you do need to cut the plaste folds where the speaker grill is on the door panel. I just need to cut two of the plaste tabs in the door grill and it fit perfectly. You might be able to get away with 1/4'' spacers depending on the magenets like others have said.

Rep Power: 233 with the one inch spacer you will probably not be able to clear the door panel. when I installed my diamond audio's, the spacer didn't give enough clearance.

Rep Power: 267 check the link in my sig. it's a sticky too now. 3/4" MDF spacer will work. i show how to make it in the thread. that will give you 2.5" of depth for the speaker and the door panel will still go on easily. what polks do you have?
