^^^To answer your question. The reason some people do it is to make the ECU think the air is colder than it is, and colder air is denser air therefor the ECU will tell the injectors to spray more fuel. So they think that they get more HP from doing this. I say it will do nothing in the cold and make it run rich in the summer. A car that runs rich is actually losing HP.

thanks that;s what i wanted to know , but it's true that works for some cars anyways what i did was that i make a alumminum base and take off the wippers engine made the line, fuel presion regulator just in case , fuel filter just in case, the fitting on the air intake, a ford mustang injector and really gave him something.
i ran with a matrix and lancer mivec, they aint got to look for nothng here
is not much but i feel proud of my piece of ****

I can, however, attest to the success of my theory from my own experimentations where I used a pop can, my old window wipers, a random fuel pressure regulator (in case of...stuff), a fitting laying around, and one clogged injector I found in my couch cushions, and something else I will fail to describe for you now.
I exercised with my buddy Lance while we watched The Matrix. No need to look here though, I may not go a lot but I'm proud of my ****'s."
