DB meter'd
well i dont know what i am hitting, but with my cheap system, i can vibrate my windshield, my rear window, my mirrors, my senior tassle and my hat. btw i ahve two 12" sony xplods powered by a 800w pioneer amp.
Yea, I can do the same. My rear window/roof shakes like no other tho. No DB meter but 2 Alpine 12's with a 600watt V12 Alpine amp. (V12 is the old fancy version amps from alpine, and they are ****ing amazing)
i got uh hifonics BXi1606D amp paired up with some premiers @ 1ohm, so far they are holding up, i previously owned some xplods and blew those in like a month. i would like to see what kind of db's i get with a sealed box.
I dont know db either but I have 2 eclipse 12's in a ported box powered by an alpine mrd-m605 and I can rattle the windows, anything sitting in the seats and make your hair move.
I hit 148.2 db In my old Ford Probe!! LOL Probe!!! Anyways I had 2 12inch MTX Extremes powerd by 2 MTX pro3002's. To bad I sold the system with the car. I aslo lost that comp. to a little Vw golf with 3 Jls. He hit 148.9. I was so pissed.

bout 6 years ago when I had a Chevy Lumina, I hit 149.9 with two 15" massive audio subs on the back seat powered by one massive audio 1000 watt amp. those were the good ole days.

back in the day those old audiocontrol mics were real inaccurate, you two guys that hit high 140's would have done 140 flat these days...
its strange, ive seen people who were hitting mid 150's get dropped to mid 140's with the introduction of the new mic

Re: DB meter'd
you all will be sorry in a few years when you have hearing loss. i'm not even 30 yet and it's happening already to me. becareful with your ears. you only get one set and when they're damaged, they don't heal. i worked around jet engines that would hit 135-140 dB at afterburner and you were required to wear double hearing protection and be limited to 5 minutes per day at that volume. if the music is loud enough that you have to yell to have a conversation, you're asking to be deaf later in life.

Re: DB meter'd
Thats nuts that you were able to hit 134 out of 2 8s!
I have no idea what kinda db i am putting down, but I have 2 kenwood 10s with a kenwood 600 watt (i think) amp. Subs are in a sealed box with polyfill. they hit hard as hell. I can rattle the cabinet handles in my kitchen from the driveway. I usually have the amp set a little past half power and the bass control on my HU at about 10-12 of a max 15.
