I just finished ordering an amp from crutchfield. Kicker ZX350 4 channel. I looked at the sticky DIY but I have a factory head unit and want to use the high level inputs. What is the best way about tapping in the head unit? Also I would like to mount the Amp in the trunk how should I mount it? Is there anything else I should know before I start the installation?

yea this is eazy. to install an amp the first time is a lil tricky but once u got it its eazy. first u want good wire, i suggest a 4guage wire to runt to ur amp from your battery. mount the amp in a corner of the trunk, so it has eazy access to run your grounding wires. to tap into the head unit, if its' an after market, just pop it out, run the cables from the amp, into the back of the radio, along with the remote wire. i mean u didn't want step by step instructions did u??

they want to know how to tape the hi level inputs for the amp.

Don't do this, it will sound like absolute shit Just save up for a new hu.

If you've got a high level input on the amp, just tap directly into your rear speaker wires. You'll be fine.
