youll hear the music real well in the sail panel. dont get them in the a-pillar. or b pillar. go with the sail and the rear c pillar, is for the purpose only to increase highs, but another tweeter in a kick panle should fix that..

ok cool thanks, where might i get one of those at. and secondly, how would i wire those into my stereo? i ahd mine profesionally, should i have that done again?
Yeah I had questions about this too... I have tweeters from my old mercury sable (took those babys out right before handing the car over to the dealer
) Will those fit in the sail panel, or are there specific ones you need to get. Is there a sail panel you can get from Honda that has the holes in it already? I too was wondering how you would go about wiring them into the radio.

if you have stock tweeters, use the stock tweeter harness, but if you dont, make sure that the tweeters come with a crossover. my JLs did. and most component systems have a crossover for that reason. but i say go with a sail panel, it's for 1" speakers, but i had to dremmel the hole to fit my tweeter. but i love it now!

Alright this is what my tweeter looks like, stock in a mercury sable. So I still have the connector on it as you can see... obviously I'm going to have to cut that off and splice the wires... but into what I still don't understand. I don't know what you mean by most component systems having a crossover. Also, am I going to have to trim off the outer rim where the holes are for fastening it to the car, or just reuse them for this case. Caveman talk for me... I'm not good with electronics.
Thanks.

strange looking tweeter. but imo, if you go with one from http://www.onlinecarstereo.com
they have the JL tweeter i bought. good stuff! and you can see the if you use that stock speaker, itll prolly transfer bass trough it too. you dont need that! the JL's max out at like 75 watts i think or thats the rms. but go with somethat have this small crosser, it's the size of a AA battery. it is a bass blocker. and you can hook it up through the stock wires.

I think that might be what that piece in the middle of the wires is. I took off the foam that's covering it after I read this post and theres something in there that looks like a AA battery with some metal coil coming off of it, and something else right next to it that looks like a AAA battery... bass blocker? If so, would I just cut off that conector, and splice those two wires directly into the speaker itself?

the a-pillars are the pillars that hold in the windshield, the pillars up front. the b-pillars are the ones that are right y tour head in the front seat, or the middle pillars, the c-pillars are the pillars that hold in the back window.

I run glassed kickpanels with a 6.5 in the kicks and a silk dome tweet in the kicks (nothing in the doors at all). I also run another set of alum tweets in the a-pillar that face each other. Alum are bright and work well off axis. You don't need anything in the c-pillar. I run two 6.5's with no tweets as rear fill. If you set up your front stage well enough you don't even need a rear fill except for people who may ride in the back. Seriously.

I have worked in the car audio field for many years and done thousands of installs. I have done all my own work and by the amount of electronics in my ride, I would say I am well qualified to say just about anything regarding the field.

Just think when you go to a concert do you stand facing the stage with the sound in front of you or do you have your back to it?
Subs are non directional that is why the trunk is a good place for them, but everything else is directional so you want it in front of you. Well at least I do. i boogie for the raindrops
