Rep Power: 329 first off... its "Vtec"
andd stands for "Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control"
and second, that wire could hav a constant power but not an engaging vtec signal....its different, you cant just tap into it like that...

Rep Power: 262 Why do you need to know when Vtec kicks in? I don't get why ppl want to know since it really doesn't do much on 7th gens, but mine doesn't even have it

Rep Power: 243 seriously it's not worth it, vtec engages at a pretty low rpm for d17s around 2.5-3k or something like that, so basically the light will almost be constantly on, it'll only annoy you, and you'll end up taking it out and have to deal with a hole in your dash....imo it's only worth it for type-r's, s2000's, etc.. but then again, you don't need a light to tell you when vtec kicks in for those cars
