it's interference from other components in your system traveling through your wires. usually all Monster Cable products are made to reduce all of this since they cost soo friggin much. but youll have to get some high-end wires/cables to stop this problem. same when you/if you have cingular phone and when someone calls, it buzzes on a tv, radio, the interference travele through it all making that annoying sound we all love

i had the same problem. a $1 generic inline RCA noise filter solved the problem. oh, and btw. Monster DOES make ps2 cables, but in this case, it wont help. I know, i used them.

wherever car audio is sold. thats a tad bit excessive for what you need, but it should work. I'll look around my shed tomorrow, i should have a spare that you can have..

then the three things I would be trying are: RCA noise isolator, power line noise isolator, and regrounding either the radio or the ps2 or both.
if none of those work, I dont know what else you can do.

its the switching power supply of the ps..the design makes the power supply very efficient close to 90%..but this high frequency(dont know exact) causes other equipment to carry/feedback to the HU in your case..
my guess is power line isolater too...your HU and PS share same power line essentially...so noise from 1 can be carried to and bleed and cause havoc..
