They should fit in kicks allright.. for the 4's and maybe even the 5.25's if you drive an auto.. if you drive stick, then you won't be able to angle them very well for imaging.

I drive a stick, you have 7 inches of space easy, so unless your speakers need more space than that to angle them in, your stuck.
when I get my comps (seems like a waste to build them for junk speakers) I dont see a single problem with 6.5's in kicks.
I got ghetto kicks now, they take 7 inches of space.
I highly doubt that it is impossible to put in 6.5's in kicks.

Rabbit.. you can get get 6.5's in kicks if you drive standard.. However..Angling them in such a manner that you'll get a good soundstage and still image well will involve your food hitting the speaker everytime you shift..it would also not eave enough airspace for your woofers to produce proper midbass..(even if you leave the backs open or port them it's still not going to sound right.. Why not get 3-ways??.. 6.5's in the doors for midbass.. 4.5's in kicks.(leaves you alot more footspace, Much easier to set your stage.. better sound if done properly..
well, im getting a 2 way set, but I am curious, since you CAN take seven inches of space, and that is assuming that you left the factory panels on.
are you sure there is not enough space? there is in my car........

I'd assume with a good install.. the right speakers (one's that perform very well off-axis) it can be done..But in my case it just wouldn't happen.. Tried it.. didn't work too well Bought the 3way's instead... Best expenditure of money I didn't have I ever made.. gotta love credit lol
