I need to know some opinions on MB Quart Components & 6X9's from those that have dealt/heard them. They will be running off of an amp & a new H/U. I would just like to know OPINIONS from those that have EXPERIENCES with them. Not what someone heard or "My Friends System Sounds good but I think Sony's are better".

Also, what should I expect to pay for a decent system. all speakers replaced w MB Quart, 10" sub, Kenwood 5 channel Amp, Kenwood MP3 H/U, installed with everything needed included?

Mb quarts are very nice speakers. they have a titanium dome tweeter, so they kinda sound harsh at high volumes. (i prefer slik dome)

ive had a set of components 6.5's and as set coax 5.25's

but it all in your opinion, try and find a local dealer and check them out

i have mb quartz 6x9 and componet speakers in the front. i think there one of the best out there. i'm very happy with the sound.

MB Quarts are top notch man. They sound great, but your wallet will feel it.

i just recently got mb quart components, and because i'm new to car audio, it didn't seem to fit well. i'm gonna get my friend to help me, but does anyone know if it will require cutting and/or drilling?

Fourkilos, how much did you pay for the MB's?

Here is my scenerio:

Kenwood MP8017 H/U
MB Quart RSC216 components
MB Quart DTC 169 6x9" 3-way coaxial pair ( I believe these were the ones discussed)
Kenwood 5 channel Amp (didnt get the model #)
10" Lightning Audio Sub in box (dont remember the kind of box, but the sub faces down)
all wiring
install
taxes

all for $1,560

I am thinking it is a bit much. I was refered by a good friend & they say that is a deal, but still.. 1500 bucks for all this? Let me know your opinions on this. I want to make sure I do not throw my money out the window...

mb quarts are the best in my book if your'e looking for sound quality. If you turn the **** all the way to "earbleeding10blocksawayloud" then you might want to get infinity's. Mb quarts don't really distort until very high volume levels, but they are the best sounding. and 1500 for your setup is probably about right if you can get a deal with the install and stuff.

buy your stuff online and DIY it. its not hard at all and save you alot. all in all my system cost about $1500. anyways install is everything. and you will know its done right. if you decide to do it your self. email me or get my attention. ill help ya out.

I'm with Subrage on that one; All my components are coming from websites, except for the things I'm having installed custom; it's saving me hella $$$ on labor and installation time, plus I'm learning enough about it that if something goes wrong, I'll be able to figure it out myself most of the time.

self install is definitely the way to go. if you feel uncomfortable, find a friend that knows what they are doing or ask someone from the site if they can help you, that way you can learn.
