Infinity Reference or Kappa's
Since I have the 6x9 Kappa's in the back, I want to keep the same thing going in the front. But the question is which one is better. I know that the Kappa's are more upper end, but is there that much difference between the 2. I've looked at spec's and there really isnt. But if someone has heard them or knows anything about them let me know. Thanks

Specs eman nothing.. the Kappa's sound much better.. cone is much more rigit.. less distortion..MUCH more midbass.. the references barely have any...Also I'd reccomend getting the 6/5" Component speakers instead of Co-Axials.. MUCH better sound..

Now that you pointed that out I forgot to mention that I would buy the component set. I have a cold, flu thing going on, and too many drugs in my system

You need an amp? I wasnt even thinking about it. I thought I could just run them off my Kenwood HU. I know that they would sound way better than the factory speakers, but it would sound better with an amp? If anything recommend something, and something inexpensive.
I just installed kappa components up front and it's one tight fit.. the magnet is huge so you'll have to put a spacer in between the speaker and the door beacause there is just enough room for the window to go down with the spacer.. The sound is great and the quality is def worth the money.. i haven't tried the reference series but i do know you really really should run it with an amp.. you can run it with the head, but don't expect great things.. Any quality amp will do, Rockford, Phoenix, etc.. ~40-50w RMS per channel?? that would be my guess.. mohawk?

Where would you put the amp? Trunk, or under a seat, I would assume, but running all those wires would be a pain wouldnt it?

I have perfect subs and they rock!!! i love them to death!!!
I also have the kappa 6.5s 3ways in the back and reference 6.5 components in the front.
originally I bought kappa 3ways for the front btu i couldnt' get it to fit. (didn't try a spacer)
I returned them for the reference components which i was told would fit for sure. However i was so mad about the kappas not fittting that I jstu took the componenets to a local shop and they put them in for me so i dont' really know how it looks on the inside but it still sounds really good!!!! I love my system. I don't have any amps on the 6.5s yet btu when I get a bigger amp for my perfects then I'll move those amps to the 6.5s. Right now they're jsut running off my Kenwood MP8017
there are some pics in my link inthe sig but that doesn't help you see how good it sounds.
