ive been looking all over for a dash kit with no luck. this thing looks like has a 1/2 din size stereo only, and nowhere to really put a deck aside from chopping a hole in the dash (which maybe could work). is there a way to mount it properly so it doesnt shake all over and fall out?

is it a shaft mount radio? When we get those cars in the bay out comes the airsaw.

i used to have a 95 4x4, the deck fit in there with NO kit, just using the stock bracket - really cheap set up and easy steal.

I know they make a generic "Import" Dash kit. Fits old-school Toyotas and Nissans that have that weird oversized but not double din dash. You should look into that too so that way you don't have to leave the old radio in along with the new one.

ya i should have mentioned, the truck is pretty beat, and im not too worried about leaving the old one in. the dash is ripped off, and its a mess inside. no worries about making it clean, more worries about making the deck work without being easy to steal or get messed up from bumps and stuff. i think im going with the under dash kit, but would i need to extend all the wires to reach?

maybe, u might get away with re routing the wires.
sometime the wires are held in by clips just take those out

Hey gearbox, also marine places make nice dash kits. Some go under the dash some in it, but it would make a nice door to cover up your stereo waterproof dash housing
I've got to do a 84 chevy c-10 and I cant find one either. I believe im going to make my own out of abs. But use some like 1/8" flat bar to secure in the back, they wont be taking it anywhere. LOL

im hoping the install places local will have something to mount it cause i dont feel like carrying all the stuff home with me.
