Does a 8 inch screen fit in the dash?

I want to put a flush mount screen in my car with as little fabrication as possible. And I definitely don't want to cut my dash. Can we fit a 8 inch or do I have to stick with a 7 inch?

Derek managed to get a 12 inch in his dash a while back. He had to move the A/C controls and stuff, but it fit. Anything will fit, with enough determination to do it. As far as fitting it in the stock location of the radio, 7 inch is about the max opening, as it's a double din opening. You might can squeeze and 8 incher in there, but it might not be flush. If you're going to do it, I recommend recessing it as the dash angle will create glare. Search for J187's DIY thread he did a while back about it. I don't know if Mega ever put it in the sticky.

I searched for posts in his name and found one but the DIY in it has no pictures. Is there another?

I was thinking about getting the Xenarc 700TSV but don't know if I should get the 7 inch or 8 inch.

It's also in the sticky (mega finally put it there evidently)

Fabricating a touch screen into the dash is the thread title.
