Need some help with my box
Hey guys I’m making a box for my 2-10" and I need some dimensions for my civic...
My idea is to have two vented holes on the sides...
It's a civic 05 lx...
Would appreciate the help thanks.

unless you plan on competing, i don't really recommend going ported. but if you're set on that idea and you want them to sound good (not just loud), find out what the manufacturer's recommended dimensions are, or calculate them based on their specs. vented boxes can be very tricky.

what do you want?
subwoofers off the rear deck, subwoofers under the floor, subwoofers in a fancy box, open trunk, space taken up, whether or not you care about the trunk/cabin boundary, how good at fabrication you are, how much effort you are willing to put into the box, what the time and dollar budget you have, what performance you are looking for. the list goes ON and ON.
give me some constraints, and ill give you a couple sweet sweet designs to choose from.
WAY too many based on the criteria you have now!
absolutely right. its easier to gut out the rear deck of a sedan to run some IB subwoofers than it is in a coupe.
or as an alternative, its easier to fit in subwoofers in existing holes in a sedan rather than the coupe.

get this program Bassbox 6 pro and use it.. You can build any kind of box you want for you speeker in a given space. Or get a piencle peice of paper, get the space that is required for the 2 subs you have,*ported or sealed* and design a box that will fit in your car. Or go on ebay and buy a cheepy 10" or 12" box and put it in your tunk and be happy. Thats what a majority of the people on here do anyways. Quit being lazy and do the damb math son.
just about any standard dimension will fit. For your given boxrequirements (you can get those from the whitepaper included with your subwoofers), as long as you dimension the box not to be SUPER wide, or SUPER tall, or SUPER deep, its gonna fit in the car, and itll fit into the car.
does that make sense?

check out my page and there's a crappy pic of the box i built...2 type E 10's...sounds pretty good too...not too bass heavy (they're 10's damn....) and just loud enough to annoy the neighbors
