Anti-Thief Question
Anti-Thief Question
My GF and I just went to get my 03 civic from the dealership and the radio was on the anti-thief device( i didnt know that it needed a code to make it work)...so she played with the numbers the whole way home and now it shows ErrE when i start the radio.
What should i do now ??? Im desperate without a radio.
Thanks alot guys.

The radio code should be somewhere on the vin sticker either under the hood or in the door jam. Regardless, your unit has possibly locked itself out. It you start the car and it no longer says code, and instead just says err, that means the unit is locked and you have no more attempts at entering codes. If it's still asking you for a code, then you've got more attempts. I think, if I remember correctly, Honda allows you 5 attempts at inputing the code before it locks the unit. Might be wrong, but I believe that that is their security feature.
In the owners manuel it says to leave the radio opened for an 1hr and then the Err should go away.
We'll see.
I called my dealer...gave me the code...radio works now .
Thanks for your help guys.
