man...

i had my 2 he2 in a very small box, 2.5 cubes or so, and recently, the audio shop that i got it from has been telling me that my subs are in a too much of a confined space, and they want to build me a new box. so i went in to them yesterday and told them to build a box, and i heard them talking to each other, something about spl... next thing i know, they are on the phone with scott, one of the regional rockford rep, now i have my 2 he2(new ones because my old one's surroundings are comming off due to too much throw) in a 4 cube box spl built, holy christ, it's so loud that my trunk is scraping paint off my car! and the top near the sunroof is comming off! the seal isn't tight anymore!!!! our cars cannot handle the pressure, becareful when you build a box for your car!!!

Why the hell did they build you an SPL box.. now you have fart bass and no deep bass.. ..Oi... and Our Cars can take the pressure..but we have to do some work so that they can handle.. I.E. Tighten your trunk latch..use Gasketting foam under your trunk seal.. I don't have a sunroof.. so I dunno about that.. I have over 170sq.ft of sound deadening mat in my car... and I've tightened all the doors and put gasketting foam around all the door seals...

I'm not trying to sound cool or anything but I'm hitting a few DB's more than you and I've had no problems yet..Bring it back to the shop.. tell them to do the job right.. tighten your trunk latch and door latches for you..and if there's paint damage.. tell them they better fix it or sue them..

I would definitely take it back and tell them to build you a different box or tell them to seal your car the right way. did they do the box for free? I personally don't like my bass so loud and boomy that I lose feeling in my fingers and toes, but I guess some people do. I am more of a SQL person. I love music and I like it to sound good.

Loud is one thing... But it mostly likely sounds like Big Mamma Jamma farts instead of clean bass

he he,,, well if my g/f's hair wasn't braided it'd fly all over the car....

I'd definatwly now say invest in 2 rolls a RAAM Mat..Sound deaden your car..and be amazed tha it's now 2 DB's louder..and you don't hear your roof, trunk, rear deack and doorpanles vibrate to ****..

Cheers
