Desperate Need Help
I just installed 5" autogauge tach all went well till I went to connect the wire for the illumination. My dash is all torn apart and I cant seem to find the right wire to tap into from the dash lights to get the tach to light up when you turn on the headlights ... I need to go to work in 3 hours and I am only one wire from being done can someone please help I KNOW someone out there can help me locate that *$%# wire I need to go to work

use the illumination wire from the headunit, thats what i did for the 4 LEDs over the foot in my car, but those are only LEDs so they dont use much power, i dont know what your autometer light is, but u should be fine to just tap off that, if not, use a relay on it. sorry i'm late......

Yeah that or use your volt meter pull out the little console that holds your cruise control, sunroof, and put the volt meter on the wire where it plugs into the switches, when you turn on the parking lights you will get voltage when you find the right wire, you turn it off the volts go away.
Then just tap into that wire. Thats what I did.
