Really? I thought it was the amps that were terrible. I've heard tons of stories about Xplod amps dying.

For that it depends on what kind of sound you're looking for.. and will you be buying an amp for them..or just a new HU?..
If you're amping them..get components for the front.. and for the rear 6x9's get low sensitivity speakers (that way your rears won't drown out your fronts)...
If you're just using the HU.. Get Pioneer speakers all around..they run great on low power.
