Where to run power feed through firewall?

I have a hybrid, so it probably is different, however I cannot find a good place to run the positive wire from the 12v battery (On the driver side on the hybrids). Any suggestions? I'd rather go through an existing grommet than to drill a new hole...

Thanks

look for a wire bundle on the drivers side up underneath - there should be an existing grommet there. Were there any considerations for your install given that you're running a battery powered hybrid?

Thanks for the replys - I'll admit I am a lamo and after my post I found quite a few posts on it, however as mentioned the hybrids are different. The large rubber grommet is there, but I wanted to stick on the drivers side instead of running the wire along the firewall...

A lot of hybrid owners report a large bundle of wires on the drivers side, however I could not find them...Maybe they are behind the electric power steering rack? Anyway, I'll post where I put mine for future use

I have a CVT hybrid, however under the dash there is a cutout in the foam soundprrofing for the clutch pedal. I removed the foam cutout and drilled a hole in the middle (You can see where the metal is stamped to be removed in manual cars). It ends up being in the engine compartment kinda by the brake booster, but even closer to the strut. The location works out perfectly because it is more or less a straight shot to the 12v battery

ABout the other question - naah, although the 10kw generator (motor) would be able to provide some killer current to the amps

Not concerned about burning out the DC-DC converter that acts as the charging system in the Hybrid?

I was under the impression that the little engine still had an alternator...although I admit, I haven't looked. It does have a regular starter though - I know that.

I guess I could be worried about it, but I have a crappy 400w amp on a 20a fuse by the manufacturer, so in reality it's pulling (at the max) about double the headlights on high beams. And of course, thats if I am trying to blow my eardrums out.

I would not be surprised if even get up to 100w in power consuption because I wanted the sub to "fill in the holes" the regular speakers cannot get down to.

For those that care, I have the box inside the car - in the rear footwell. I figure the battery pack would probably drown out some of the sound, and besides, I hate 4-doors and like to mentally imagine that I have a 2-door coupe :-) (If only Honda would have made them)
