SE Head unit to subs?????
im thinkin of gettin a starter system like audiobahn, but nuttin big..... i was wondering if i can keep my stock SE head unit and wire it to subs???/ i heard i might need new HU, which i really dont want too... thanks
1.)All you need is a Line Output Converter and to run the power, remote and ground for the amp.
I bought this one at Best Buy for way too much.

All you do is tap into the rear deck speaker lines and then run rca's to the amp.
Here is the same one on ebay for $2.99
2.)Buy an amp that's got a High Pass input.
either way you keep your stock HU, but I will tell you it doesn't sound as good.

Yes it is where rt 46 meets rt 20. After that, there is like 2 exits... don't get off at either of those exits, keep going straight, and make sure you stay to your right because there will be an exit to go to rt 4 on your left. Keep on all the way straight on rt 20, and eventually you will see burger king on your right. You can't miss it. If you go too early, you won't really see many cars. They usually come after it gets dark. I am leaving to go at around 7:30 or 8 pm. It ends at 9 pm, so don't get there too late or you will miss everything. I usually stay until everyone leaves. If you need more help, lemme know.

Personally, I qouldn't get a cheap LOC. It's going to sound low quality. If you're going to do it with the stock HU, SE or not, do it correctly and get a quality LOC. JL Audio makes the CleanSweep, Audio Control Makes the LS6, Phoenix Gold makes one that's good quality as well. You don't want a crappy signal going in because you'll only get crappy quality coming out. Yeah, some will say that it sounds god, but anyone that knows audio will be able to tell that the LOC isn't good quality. Remember, it's only going to be as good as your weakest link. Quality ain't cheap, but for quality sound, you pay quality prices. True, people say you get what you pay for, and that statement holds true, to a point. Ebay also has something to do with that. You can get quality stuff at a much cheaper price on sites such as ebay generally so "you get what you pay for" has a loophole.
