Need help about subs
Well a friend of mine today gave me 3 MTX 6000 10" subs in a sealed box and i was wondering how good these sound as i never had a chance to listen to them in his car. Keep in mind these are free so none of the "your wasting your money" comments please.

I used to have a Thunder 6000 in a Virtual Technologies transmission line box powered off of a RF Punch Power amp. This was back in the day mind you, and it pounded. That was back when I cared more about SPL than SQ. If you're wanting SPL, you shouldn't be disappointed if you power them right. What type of box are they in, or are they in a box? If not, might I recommend a transmission line type box, assuming again that you want SPL? It'll pound plenty loud, heck, 2 would be plenty loud enough. Just make sure you design it, or have it designed, perfectly, as they are very sensitive boxes to build. I could plug the numbers into the calculators and give you some numbers, but they wouldn't be much help to you if it's like reading chinese to you.
A few sites to help you out when choosing and designing your box:

Yea, they are in a box. The box is a sealed box. I'll get some pics tomorrow of the box to so you can be sure of what kinda box it is.
Anyone else have any expierence/opinions of these subs?
