New Headunit and Trunk Setup Finally Finnished
I just picked up an eclipse AVN-5435 yesterday, i had ordered the alpine IVA-w200, but they were too slow, i had been waiting for over 2 weeks, so I canceled it and got the eclipse instead.

I used to have this unit, really good nav software. I put my antenna on the front dash, in the middle, up against the windshield, got great reception.
The only problem I had was that I am picky as hell with my music and this unit didn't cut it, its more of a factory upgrade unit. If it wasn't for all the expensive crap I have in my car, I would still have this unit, it has good features and the nav works great.

Nothing wrong with the audio features, they just don't stack up against a good SQ head unit like my Clarion DRZ9255, but if I wasn't so picky, I would still have the 5435.

I have the same unit in my car, I've had it for about 9 months. I like it a lot, you are right about the sound settings but it's nothing a eq and crossovers can't fix. It has 5v front, rear, and sub outputs so you can clean the sound up and set it any way you like, you just need a little more equipment.

Speed sense
white/green or blue/white ECM/PCM, pin A18 or E25
If equipped with cruise control, the vss wire is also blue/white at the cruise control unit to the left of the steering column on the sedans, or the cruise control actuator under the hood on the coupes.
Reverse is a positive green wire, font of fuse box in an 18 pin plug

I posted about the VSS wire location that worked great in my 03 Coupe. I got the info from Kenwood, and for me it was a success.
