New Headunit and Trunk Setup Finally Finnished

I just picked up an eclipse AVN-5435 yesterday, i had ordered the alpine IVA-w200, but they were too slow, i had been waiting for over 2 weeks, so I canceled it and got the eclipse instead.

I used to have this unit, really good nav software. I put my antenna on the front dash, in the middle, up against the windshield, got great reception.
The only problem I had was that I am picky as hell with my music and this unit didn't cut it, its more of a factory upgrade unit. If it wasn't for all the expensive crap I have in my car, I would still have this unit, it has good features and the nav works great.

Nothing wrong with the audio features, they just don't stack up against a good SQ head unit like my Clarion DRZ9255, but if I wasn't so picky, I would still have the 5435.

I finally got the new headunit in the car, and everything is finally done, i could finnaly try my new trunk setup and it sounds amazing. the only thing wrong with the headunit is there are not enough settings for sound, my pioneer was way better for sound settings

I have the same unit in my car, I've had it for about 9 months. I like it a lot, you are right about the sound settings but it's nothing a eq and crossovers can't fix. It has 5v front, rear, and sub outputs so you can clean the sound up and set it any way you like, you just need a little more equipment.

hey, do you know where the purple speed pulse wire is connected too on your car? i havnt pluged mine yet. If you would have a pic, that would be perfect, also where is the reverse wire connected to, i really dont want to run that wire all the way back to the car, there must be somewhere closer?

Speed sense

white/green or blue/white ECM/PCM, pin A18 or E25

If equipped with cruise control, the vss wire is also blue/white at the cruise control unit to the left of the steering column on the sedans, or the cruise control actuator under the hood on the coupes.

Reverse is a positive green wire, font of fuse box in an 18 pin plug

I posted about the VSS wire location that worked great in my 03 Coupe. I got the info from Kenwood, and for me it was a success.

sweet, looks great, but off topic kind of i found that the kenwood setup liek this actually has good sound quality setup. I did an install wit hteh kenwood on a maxima with boston z's and a type-r sub. sounded amazing and claer as hell.

kool, i never really tried kenwood. this eclipse is great, but the settings for sound sucks, no built in crossover, no sub on & off, .......
if i were to do it again, i would have gotten the new pioneer z1, cause from my personal experience, ive always loved pioneer HU's
