Trim around atermarket deck

Hi all,
I got new deck, of course it's smaller than the hole it goes in
Sony did include some kind of sorry excuse for a trim, but that still leaves a pretty big hole around the radio ( plus our stock units arent exactly square shaped )

Question is: is there something on the market for civics to cover up the hole made by installing skinny aftermarket radio?
Or some kinda DIY?

Thanks

Re: Trim around atermarket deck

www.metraonline.com Their kits offer the best fitament and match (color wise) to the stock dash of any kits out there. Lots of options too. While you're doing it, I would recommend flip flopping the hu and pocket. That requires the double din kit offered by metra, and the universal pocket. It'll screw directly into the stock mounting bracket. This will make the unit more visible in the day as well, as sun glare makes most units difficult to read. There is a diy on here (actually there's two, one I wrote and one that another guy wrote. He has more pictures in his than mine).

EDIT:

Here's the link to my DIY

I was reading that, seems interesting.

How much room is behind the stereo for RCA cables and whatnot?

Of course I realize it is old. I did a search (the proper way to utilize a forum's resources) instead of making a new thread asking my questions.

I had two sets of RCA's back there (one for the aux in on one HU and one for the amps) and had absolutely no problems with fitament.

They should throw something in for free with their prices. They're only one of the highest priced places online.

You can order it anywhere that sells Metra Products. The part number for the double din kit is 99-7865. After that, you'll need the universal pocket that fits toyotas, hondas, etc 88-00-9000. That's an item they should regularly stock though. The double din kit will be all you'd really need to order, unless they stock it regularly.
