did search need help still with oem tweeters

I have an 05 lx coupe and I was wondering if anyone knew if I bought the oem tweeters and sail panels if the wiring harness is just sitting in my door somewhere waiting for me to just plug and play or if I'm going to have to wire them up myself?

I can't comment on whether or not the wiring is there, but to take your door panel off and check is not a big deal, it will take 10-15 minutes

It's less then 10 minutes. Maybe along the lines of 30 seconds, a full minute if you're retarded. The portion where the OEM tweeter sits - Just opposite of the Side Mirrors on the inside, take a little prying with something flat and it pops off. Look for a side mirror install if you're still having trouble getting them off.

No, the connection for the tweeter is inside the door, not behind the sail panel, so the door panels have to come off to check.

I'm pretty sure there won't be a harness there. I did an install on an '02 LX and there was no harness.

not definitive but a ray of clarity into what I'll need to do. I'll find out tomorrow for sure.

Chances are, if you bought a "kit" from Honda, there will be instructions there and wiring to attach it to the vehicle if not so equipped from the factory...just like when you buy floor mats and it comes with the positive-retention system.

door panel diy, open up and check

http://gearbox.shmikx.net/doorpanel.htm

there is no kit, because it is not an optional accessory. only the ex comes with it. and i'm curious how the stock deck is able to power 6 speakers with the ohm load and such. maybe its so underpowered it doesn't matter.
