it's real easy to do it yourself. and some screens are sensitive to the inverter power (lines in the screen), my pioneer avh-p5700dvd was and somebody eles's on this site, not sure if all pioneers are like that. but there is something you can buy that will power the ps2 directly from the car (no need of the power inverter or your ps2 transformer). you put your car's 12volts to it and it lowers the voltage to 8.5volts (what the ps2 slim needs). Not all screens are sensitive to it, my other one wasn't, so you could try it with a power inverter first cause they are cheaper.

Rep Power: 265 this is what i did the right way is i went to the shop that hooked me up and got a power inverter it cost around 150 bucks or something and all you need to do is go to like game stop and get a playstation 1 rca cable jack it should have 3 types one for n64 one of xbox and one for playstation/ps2 and than all you need is the power cord and you can hook up all of those any questions just pm i guess

get a power inverter u can get one for $30 then on the back off it (if you get the one with prongs on it) u can ether connect it to a ground or pos.inside the car or u can run it to the battery. when that is done hook u the ps2 like u would at ur house.
arent there power inverters that plug right into the cig lighter port or is that wat you guys are talking about? im plannin on doin this eventually when i go on trips or something. im thinking of gettin one of those that plug right into the cig lighter with the prong on the back where u plug in the power cord for the ps2 in. do u really need to get that thing that freedomeagle said to get at gamestop? couldnt u just do wat cleancivic 05 said? i got the alpine iva-d900 just in case some u guys need to know.

Rep Power: 0 this is not some thing u need to pay someone for just get two long pieces of wire like the one u use for ur amp but get the smallest gauge.then run it frrom the battery to the inside of the car then hook it up to the inverter( u can hook it all up in the glove box. some people say that u can hook it up to the cig lighter( on this idk) i just found that running it to the battery is ok and u can use it when the car is off.
