Need a deck with with a built in cross over!!!
Need a deck with with a built in cross over!!! Any suggestions something new..........do the new pionneers have crossovers built in???? Alpine I heard that this years line up do not have crossovers built in (High/Low pass filters)...Thanks for your help

Rep Power: 0 the new Alpines i've dealt with look better than ever, but suck more than ever... i've never siad this before, but if you're going for a new head unit, stay away from the Alpines... just my $.02...

anyway, pioneers do have selectable crossovers for their preouts

if you can find it (youll love it) the older Kenwood Headunits, Excelons. Sorry to say but new kenwood stuff 2004 and up suck. Try looking for the Kenwood Z919, theyll give you Built in crossovers and they have i believe 4.3 volt preouts so less distortion, they can read mp3 and cdrw cds. they go for about 50-90 bucks on ebay, great head unit

Rep Power: 0 I don't like the new Chinese made Alpine nor anything made in China at all, especially the newer products, all sucks...(though I am a Chinese)...
Try to get the older Alpine if you like it, ie. those that were made in Japan, like CDA-7998, 7897...Or get the DVA-7996 or DVA-9965, these are the best units beside F#1 but truely distinguish in quality from other Chinese made stuffs...
